One of the most intriguing items at Whispering Woods Gallery is the historic map collection portal. We offer your favorite maps from all over Bucks and Montgomery Counties, Philadelphia, NJ Shore points, New York City, and all over the USA. Let’s take it a bit further. We offer over 1.6 million maps from all over the world! We offer our maps unframed but we suggest letting us frame them to look their best to last for generations. One of my favorite types of vintage maps is the “Birdseye View.” These maps were made in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Sometimes referred as aero or panoramic views, they are non-photographic maps of cities and towns from above. See the Margate map below. Want to search for your town? Signs of Summer

One of my favorite local artists, Karen Eckelmeyer, creates art that lets you celebrate summer all year round. Every time I view the art of Karen Eckelmeyer, it takes me to a warm and sunny place at the shore. Karen, a Bucks County, Pa resident, is self taught and works in colored pencil. It is easy to mistake her detailed work as being a photograph. Her fine art giclee prints of shells, stones and plants are timeless and will fascinate for years to come.
