We see a lot of 70’s stitchery come in for framing. As a stitcher in the 70’s, I know it well and love it! The color palette of the stitching is usually bright, clear and cheerful but in most cases it has been poorly framed. Here is a recent project framed for Mary of Horsham. Mary was delighted and will hang it in her dining room.
The 1970’s Last Supper stitchery had been poorly mounted to acidic materials.
This 70’s stitchery came in with a piece of rough moulding around it. The corners were coming apart.

Mary picked a gorgeous Harrison frame by Larson Juhl. We lined it with a metallic tape to protect it from acid migration.
