a Fine Art Giclee Reproduction

Joan created this breathtaking watercolor of “Olivia’s Lookout” during the summer of 2007 while on vacation in the Berkshire Mountains near Lennox, Massachusetts. Joan’s passion for life is evident in the muted brushstrokes and soft colors that capture this moment in time. Joan discovered her artistic abilities in the 1970s when living in Texas.

She worked primarily with oil and had only recently begun to experiment with watercolor.

The beauty of “Olivia’s Lookout” is just one of the many ways that Joan inspired those around her. She had a tremendous passion for life and loved spending time with her family and friends. As a distinguished professor of twenty-five years in the Business department at Bucks County Community College, Joan was an extraordinary teacher who made a difference in the lives of so many of her students. Today, these students remember her as a both a mentor and a friend, as well as a humanitarian. Joan was also very active in her community, dedicating much of her free time and energy to numerous nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from the sale of “Olivia’s Lookout” will be donated to these organizations. As of Spring 2010, over $4,000 has been raised for Bucks County organizations.

“Olivia’s Lookout” is a limited edition Giclèe print, individually produced on the finest German etching paper using special archival inks. In giclée printing, no screen or mechanical devices are used to transfer the image; therefore, the impression has all of the tonalities and hues of the original art.

“Olivia’s Lookout” is available exclusively through Whispering Woods Gallery.
