We like to show off the large impressive projects that we complete at Whispering Woods Gallery. We closed out the year with one of the smallest projects, impeccably stitched by Kelly of Lansdale.
The frame was so small that it had to be cut, joined and shipped from Canada to our local supplier, Fotiou Frames in Bristol, PA. US regulations will not let us work so small. I took a short road trip to chat with the employees and to see the gorgeous moulding and of course to pick up this tiny gem of a frame.
This sampler qualifies as having the tiniest stitches for a needlework project too. It was crafted beautifully by Kelly and it was an honor to work on it. The pattern is by Red Barn Samplers and was a piece by Jemima Fortune Cunningham stitched when she was 10 years old in 1883, while attending Oakbank School in Glasgow, Scotland.
Thanks to Kelly and all of our stitchers for bringing us such unique projects to frame. We hope to see your cross-stitch and other needleart creations soon.
